Filthy Rich Writer Review
Welcome to my review of The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy offered by Nicki Krawczyk. I know I told you last week, but I absolutely freaking LOVE this program, and that is why I am so excited to share it with you.
You got to hear how life changing the CCA was for me, so now let's talk a bit about the inner workings of the program, and how it took me from having NO idea what copywriting was (although I had been doing it for over 15 years), to becoming a VERY well paid professional who has a much better life balance and is bursting at the seams with happiness.
Things I love…
The price is lower than you think, and the value is amazing! Marketing no-no right here...I’m talking about the price first thing...call the copy police on me and take me to copy jail! Seriously though, I know price really is your biggest question, so ‘ima jump into the deep end first.
For what you get, and the ability this program has to transform your life, the cost is VERY reasonable. You can easily earn your investment back with your first paid gig. Nicki even gives you a whole course on how to make the program pay for itself in seven days. Seriously.
When they say comprehensive, they mean comprehensive. This program has EVERYTHING you need to start writing effective copy for yourself and your clients...the kind of copy that earns you an income you may only have dreamt about.
AND there are a ton of amazing bonuses that give you a distinct edge over the competition who do not join the course - from press releases, emails, sales letters, funnels, web copy, print ads, and product descriptions...you name it, if its copy, the CCA has a course on how to write it.
It isn’t full of gimmicky marketing formulas or sleazy sales techniques. The CCA gives you the knowledge and skills to get out there and DO the work. You learn to write clear, compelling copy that sells without having to resort to under-handed or shady practices.
Nicki and her team are warm, welcoming, inviting and they CARE about your success. Tired of seeing all the “copy bros” out there with their questionable morals trying to sell water to the drowning? That isn’t the Filthy Rich Writer style.
I have felt nurtured, welcomed, and cared about every step of this journey. As I have ventured into new trainings with other copy gurus, I’ve sadly found this is not always the case when learning from “the experts.”

There are an amazing group of coaches, leaders and other students from around the world who are all there to learn, practice and support each other. It is as close to a drama-free zone as one can get on Facebook,.
I have established some wonderful friendships and valuable networking contacts through the group. It's nice to know you aren’t alone when you start a new venture…the group is a wonderful community full of support.
Everything is well organized and easy to navigate. The modules flow in a logical order and they are super easy to follow. You can easily find the information you are looking for, and like I said above, the program is QUITE comprehensive, so this level of organization is key.
The live coaching calls and past recordings are FIRE! Every month for the past few YEARS, Nicki and her head coach Kate have gotten on a call to go over member questions AND review portfolio websites and copy. As a member, you get access to these live calls each month, and you can watch recordings of the previous calls.
This is a vast wealth of information and knowledge that you have access to at all times. Plus, as a member, you can submit YOUR questions and work directly to the team for feedback.
You get lifetime access. Again, getting back to the comprehensive nature of the program, as they add new trainings or modules, you get access to it all! There was Pitchapalooza where we honed our pitching techniques and got motivated, and the team just finished up The Freelancer Summit which was amazing!
CCA prepares you to work in-house at an agency or directly for a business, or to strike out on your own as a freelancer. It really is a choose your own adventure copywriting education.
I created a brand new business, and it cost me under $1k. Eh, I know where your mind is, we’ll start and end on price. The CCA also walks you through all the steps to start your business - from setting up your portfolio site, to getting your first paying client, to establishing yourself as an expert on social media.
CCA does this with an attitude of minimalism that I find super refreshing. You don’t need to spend a bajillion dollars getting started: buy the course, get a website, do the work. That’s it, and the course really helps you keep it simple.
Now, you’re probably wondering “Oh wow Karen, it can’t be all sunshine and rainbows, what’s the catch?.” I can say with all honesty, the only challenge for me has been owning the idea that I’m a “sales and marketing” professional.
I got into copywriting mostly because I wanted to find a way to make money writing (really GOOD money at that, ahem). There are a lot of copywriting techniques out there that are spammy, sleazy, and make me feel gross to read…I couldn’t imagine writing copy like that.
If it feels like a scam that wants to separate a fool from their money, I don’t want to be involved.
But, the amazing thing about the Filthy Rich Writer team and Nicky Krawczyk, is that they don’t roll like that either. You learn to write so that you connect the ideal audience who has a need or problem, with the business owners and products who can help improve their lives.
Now, I get to experience joy when I bring people together and help solve their challenges. And, I have to say, almost a year into my copywriting journey, it still gives me a feeling of wonder and amazement that…I GET PAID TO WRITE!
How freakin’ cool is that?
Honestly, I don’t think the magic of “my words = money” will ever wear off, but I plan on doing this copy thing for a while, so I’ll keep you posted!
